Seasons’ Greetings from the Desk of Managing Director.

As you would appreciate to know that MAHAPREIT (Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Limited) is a wholly Subsidiary Company of Mahatma Phule Backward Class Development Corporation (MPBCDC), Government of Maharashtra Company (GoM) set up and working under Department of Social Justice C Special Assistance Govt of Maharashtra, set up by GoM in April 2021. I am delighted to share some of the features of Mahapreit to take you to the insights of company.

1)      MAHAPREIT is working with objectives to establish and carry-on business of Generating, Trading, operating, leasing and renting Renewable Power Projects mainly but not limited to Solar Power Projects including Solar Parks along with sub-stations and transmission lines on ownership and/or build, own and transfer basis. Further mandates are to establish and/or carry on business in relation to Decarbonisation and energy efficiency, battery storage solutions, alternative fuel cell technology and climate change issues in accordance with Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) schemes/policies or Ministry of Power or any such department of Govt of India (GoI) and its PSU/companies and Govt of Maharashtra (GoM) Energy dept’s Renewable Energy Policy as amended from time to time and all incidental and allied activities required for such business.

2)      Mahapreit in universal mandate kind of company and works broadly in following Verticals:

3)      NAVYUG (New Activity Ventures for Young Unified Groups) (महाप्रीत-"नवयुग" यॊजना)-

As the name suggests, The Navyug schemes is specifically conceptualised and designed for Start- ups, small entrepreneurs and innovative implementations of new business ideas based on emerging and upcoming new technologies, applied sciences and engineering with specially skill set upgraded group of persons / entities belonging to Scheduled caste and weaker sections of state of Maharashtra. MAHAPREIT intends to implement “NAVYUG SCHEME” to get the integrated, inclusive and comprehensive effects of all the input supports of MAHAPREIT company to the target beneficiaries of MPBCDC Limited as defined from time to time by Govt of Maharashtra.

MAHAPREIT proposes to undertake projects under different verticals like Renewable Energy with Solar Power Projects, , EV Charging Stations, Agro Processing Value Chain and Bio Fuels, RMC Plants, Affordable Housing , ARHS and schemes under MoUHA, GoI under EWS and PMAY housing projects , Highway Projects, Energy Audits Scheme, Environment and Climate Change, New and Emerging Technology Projects especially in Green Hydrogen, Futuristic Energy Integration Projects ,Software Technology and Application-Based Services and CSR Projects.

4)      All the projects proposed to be undertaken by MAHAPREIT are self-sufficient on financing through MAHAPREIT Alternative Infrastructure Fund (MAIF) or PPP/ OPEX models and intended to be implemented through Channel Partner mechanism called Target Partners, Knowledge Partners and Capex Partners. MAHAPREIT enters into MOU with technology suppliers, organisations /institutes of Eminence Professional bodies and associations, project developers in various sectors enlisted above and creates collaborative leverages, comforts and conducive support system to make available project funding and all implementation strategy and mechanism so as to generate large scale EMPLOYMENT and revenues for Schedule caste /weaker sections of state of Maharashtra improving their standards of living. We also intend to link them with above projects under different verticals and to allocate/ utilize all the surplus revenues / profits from above projects/ activities to Scheduled Caste beneficiaries as may be directed by Govt. of Maharashtra in this behalf.

5)     As on date, few of our ongoing and projects in pipeline are illustrated to make you to understand scope, horizon and style of Mahapreit works

(i)              Thane Cluster Development Project (TCDP) – Under this most important project of GoM (UDD), Mahapreit is assigned 3 URP by Thane Municipal Corporation, with construction of approx. 16500 dwelling units / rehab components and allied project activities (More details can be seen on our web site)

(ii)             Development of Software Technology Park and Data Centre at village Jambhul, District- Thane – The park and DC being developed for skill upgradation and financial support the SC beneficiaries of MPBCDC as well in general all SC target partner in the state of Maharashtra.

(iii)            Creation of Cold chain facilities and value addition to the farmers and SC beneficiaries in Konkan Aea in support with Konkan Railway.

(iv)            RESCO model Renewable energy transition and solarisation of Conventional/ thermal energy consumption in Thane, Nagpur and Pune Municipal corporations.

(v)              Development of 125 MW solar park in Sangli district, exclusively on the barren, unproductive lands of Scheduled caste farmers.

(vi)            Hon’ble PMAY Projects in Chandrapur Municipal Corporation, Yavatmal Municipal Council and Bhiwandi Municipal Corporation.

(vii)           Setting up of Digital and Skill universities in Thane District, State of Maharashtra.

(viii)          Development of Mangrove Park in Thane – Vasai-Virar creek area.

6)      Mahapreit Model –

(A)   Equity in harvesting benefits

·        Geographical and specified area considerations for specific purpose

·        Weaker section/SC may contribute a lot in terms of revenue generation and allied benefits in return to such initiatives

·        Less urbanized approach may reduce pressure on urban infrastructure

·        Focused economic development of weaker sections /SC community

·        Approach to bring weaker section into mainstream more effectively

(B)   Contribution to Society -Community and Govt of Maharashtra

·        Increased Growth and development of Weaker section will result in harmonious society

·        Wealth Creation will lead to self-sufficiency and sense of pride in weaker sections

·        Confident middle class

·        Social Justice and empowerment could be made exemplary model of constitutional equity – Achieving ultimate dreams of Dr B R Ambedkar and Mahatma Phule.
